Mixed media schilderij "Inspire yourself"

Gelukkig zijn we weer thuis na het muzikale trekzakweekend in kasteel de Berckt in Baarlo, Limburg waar Kees aan de workshops deelnam. Een prachtige locatie voor groepsactiviteiten met mooie binnentuin maar de kamers waren piepklein (ca. 2,5 * 2 meter) en deprimerend bruin. Het hele gebeuren was erg massaal met 275 deelnemers en heel leuk als je trekzak speelt...

Ik had dus genoeg tijd om wat hartjes en vlinderslingertjes te maken en dit 3-d mixed media schilderij van 30 * 30 cm met als thema "Inspireer jezelf". Het is zo leuk om zo'n schilderij te maken omdat het eigenlijk niet mis kan gaan. Ik heb gewerkt met acrylverf, papier, pen, stempels, houten lettertjes en vlinders, verschillende templates en bubbelplastic.

I am glad we are back home after a musical melodeon weekend in Castle de Berckt in Baarlo in the south of holland, where Kees participated in the workshops. It is a beautiful location for groupactivities with a nice enclosed garden, but the rooms were absolutely tiny (about 2,5 * 2 meter) and depressingly brown. The whole event was massive with 275 participants and fun if you are a melodeon player, which i am not.

Therefore i had plenty of time to make some hearts and butterfly garlands and this 3-d mixed media painting of 30 * 30 cm themed "inspire yourself". It is so much fun to make such a painting because it cannot go wrong. I used acrylic paints, paper, pen, stamps, wooden letters and butterflies, various templates and bubble plastic.
